Resolutions

Resolutions suck majorly and I suck at keeping them.

This year it's going to happen!

I am going to:
Lose 30 pounds (still in the healthy BMI)
Work out at least 4 days a week
Update this shiz every week
Plan an awesome kick ass wedding
Be an awesome MOH and Bridesmaid for my sister and friend
Go on an adventure
Learn to cook an awesome meal that becomes my claim to fame
Learn to make awesome cocktails
Find a job!

Goodbye Hell Year... Hello BEST YEAR EVER!

So 2012 sucked... didn't find a job, didn't graduate, got fat, still live at home

BUT... who cares!? It's over.

2013 is going to be LEGENDARY!
Getting married
Getting a job
Moving out
Getting in shape
Graduating
Being in and attending friends weddings
Hiking Machu Picchu
Honeymoon

Life is getting good :) AWESOME!

Major Life Moment!!

Matt Proposed!!! After 6 amazing years boyfriend Matt is now Fiance Matt! He had told me on the 13th that his family was going to Carmines in D.C. and wanted me to go with. So that Saturday I got ready and went to his place. When I got there his roommate Megan called him and told him about a new sign our high school had put up for all of the state championship winners. Since he lives down the street from our old high school we stopped by on our way to dinner. When we go there I immediately commented on how the signs were gone and we should leave (... I was hungry) but he wanted to keep looking. Soooo I did what any normal person would on an empty football field and started playing imaginary football by myself complete with crazy touchdown catches and celebrations. I also kept commenting about the creep in the bleachers reading a book... anyway, Matt eventually got me to half field and proposed in the most appropriate, awesome way ever. With our friends holding up letters which spelled out - Shannon will you marry me?
This is exactly how he asked me to prom during my senior night soccer game in high school. Obvi I said yes immediately and then I said Hell YES when I saw the ring:)

More pictures will be posted... eventually... maybe

Addition to list

My car is just shy of 5 years and for the first time when I drive it is starting to feel like an older car. My baby will be paid off in July and then I plan to drive it for another 5 or so years. However... I can't help but drool over the nicer jeeps with leather, heated seats and sunroofs. I hope I can exercise some self control on this one because not having a car bill for a few years is going to be great.

So bucket list addition: Learn how to drive a stick shift.

So after a long process I am close to defending my final project and completing my Masters program! Next up: Getting an awesome job!

I decided to get this blog back up and running because 1) I now have more time and 2) It will be another thing to look back on and remind me of happy times. I love scrapbooking but it takes forever and is pretty expensive... this will have to do.

Vacation!

My trip to CA came at the perfect time... I had just finished a two week class with Charley Casserly, an amazing individual who started as an unpaid intern and ended at the top, and I needed a break.

Boyfriend Matt and my future brother-in-law Kevin made the trip along with the rest of my family. It was a great week full of tubing, wakeboarding, lake surfing (attempts), cards, and family. My cousins 3yo daughter and 1yo twins provided endless entertainment and it was great to relax and have fun.

Here are a few pics... I will upload everything from my camera eventually.

Birthday!!

I never got to post a picture of my awesome birthday rice crispy treat cake! Who wants cake when you can have a delicious marshmellowy treat?!
There's getting to be a few too many candles. I guess the next cake will just have to be bigger:)
